About

Professional Statement

I knew I wanted to become a physician ever since I was a young child. When diagramming blood flow through the heart for a test in 7th grade, I remember being in awe of the human body. I fell in love with dermatology in high school while flipping through home health encyclopedias with pictures of rashes and other skin conditions. I love that I get to treat the whole spectrum of humanity - males, females, from infants to centenarians. I believe that skin health is vital to overall health and love to support my patients taking care of their bodies inside and out. I have practiced in Bend Oregon and Anchorage Alaska and have loved putting down roots in the Bitterroot Valley. I am so grateful to have found a hospital and community that has welcomed me and my family including my husband and four children. In my free time, I enjoy CrossFit, yoga and reading.

Always feel rushed - not enough feedback or information on options - not enough concern for my concerns.

My previous dermatologist was awful and spent about 10 seconds with me, so Dr. Covington was wonderful in comparison.

Dr Covington listens very well. She does not often initiate conversations about healthcare, just typical good morning/etc
