I worked with a full-spectrum Family Medicine physician in the clinic, hospital and nursing home in Cut Bank, Montana where I created a community health plan meant to engage women using tobacco during pregnancy. I sought to inform them of the risks for mother and baby and implemented a text-messaging smoking cessation program to provide support on their journey to quitting.
