Professional Statement
Rebecca Miller’s passion for orthopedics began early in life, inspired by caring for her childhood horse, who experienced chronic tendon and ligament injuries. This early interest in the body’s biomechanics led her to pursue a degree in Exercise Biology from the University of California, Davis, where she completed research focused on bioengineering equine ligaments.
After graduation, Rebecca moved to Hamilton, Montana, and began working with Bitterroot Health in Cardiac Rehabilitation. During her time there, she developed strong connections within the community and appreciated the opportunity to see her patients both in and out of the clinical setting. Her desire to further her medical training took her to New York City, where she earned her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from Weill Cornell Medical College.
Rebecca launched her career in orthopedics alongside Columbia orthopedic surgeons at a high-volume hospital outside Manhattan. Now, she is excited to return to the Bitterroot Valley with her family and continue her practice in orthopedics. She values building meaningful relationships with her patients and is committed to helping each person return to the activities they love.
Outside of work, Rebecca enjoys exploring the outdoors—whether it’s backpacking through canyon country, horseback riding, or introducing her young son, Emmett, to the wonders of nature.
