Treve Michael Icenoggle, MD

Treve Michael Icenoggle, MD, is a board-certified psychiatrist committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered, holistic mental health care. A Montana native, he grew up in Billings and is grateful to continue serving the people of his home state.

Dr. Icenoggle was drawn to psychiatry through his own early experiences with mental health, which shaped both his dedication to the field and his deep respect for each patient’s unique journey. He believes in a comprehensive, whole-person approach to care; one that thoughtfully blends medication management, supporting healthy lifestyle factors (exercise, sleep, and nutrition), and meaningful engagement in psychotherapy, as key components to long-term mental wellbeing.

His work includes insight-oriented psychotherapy with a special focus on relational psychotherapy. This approach looks at emotional health through the lens of our relationships—with others, with ourselves, and within the therapeutic space—using the present moment as a guide to better understand patterns, emotions, and interpersonal experiences that shape a patient’s life.

After completing his training, Dr. Icenoggle felt called back to Montana. He and his wife were immediately struck by the natural beauty of the Bitterroot Valley and the genuine warmth and kindness of the Bitterroot Health community. They knew Hamilton was the right place to make their home and are grateful to settle into the community.

Outside of his practice, Dr. Icenoggle enjoys running, weightlifting, hiking, skiing, reading history, and writing poetry.
