I grew up in Poplar, Montana and always wanted to live and serve a small community where family physicians are needed. I love all aspects of family medicine, especially being able to provide a continuum of care - from pregnancy to delivery and watching that child grow up to adulthood. The most satisfying aspect of family medicine is the relationship I build with a person and then eventually with the entire family and extended family. I want my patients to feel empowered to make the right decision on their health care. It is not all about what I can do to help patients but much about what they can do to stay healthy and live strong. I learn from patients every day and I practice medicine because I'm still learning. I'm always impressed by and remember patients who stay positive and strong through the most challenging health crisis. It's a compelling reminder of how resilient humans can be.
